Backup not working

I have the latest app version. I can back up individual photos, create and delete folders, but the main easy backup features (contacts, all photos) and formatting all fail as the app seems not to recognize the attached device!?
I only get a popin asking me to connect iKlips, I can confirm or cancel but not backup.

Ready to up the rating as soon as this is solved, request sent by website contact form. Thx
