iKlips App Reviews

I have the latest app version. I can back up individual photos, create and delete folders, but the main easy backup features (contacts, all photos) and formatting all fail as the app seems not to recognize the attached device!? I only get a popin asking me to connect iKlips, I can confirm or cancel but not backup. Ready to up the rating as soon as this is solved, request sent by website contact form. Thx

Buy this for the wife, not intuitive as advertise. Complicated and frustrating to navigate through. Paid 90$ Canadian for a USB key...

Use it mainly to put movies fir my kids and it does The job real Well. Kinda amazed by The rating. Love it

Idea of this app is really good. It crashes with DSLR photos.

I moved 35gb of music, movies, and pdfs and so far have had no issues with accessing any file. Ive downloaded the app on multiple devices and now sharing couldnt be any easier. The new media player is awesome. Couldnt be happier! :) July 2016 update: Very frustrated. Updated to new 2.0 app. I get a banner asking to allow iklips to communicate with iklips device. When the app opens I cant toggle between the iPhone and the iklip. Tried multiple formats and multiple phones. Iklips works fine in a computer. No responses from Adam elements customer service.

The manual from Adam Elements distributor is extremely difficult to understand and follow,I should have investigated tha before Ive purchased it

The advertising makes you think you can freely t/f files to/from the iklips devise. This is not true. You need to read the fine print by noticing what they are not saying. i.e the device will not find files on your iPad/iphone for you to t/f back to your computer.

Is it possible only German readers need help? Heres an English speaker who needs some help. Please??

Up until this "upgrade" the iKlips was my favorite portable storage device allowing the exchange of content from my Mac or PC to my iPad. However, the new software at best selectively displays files on my iPad. Movies stored on iKlips do not appear and many of the photos Ive transferred are also missing. When I insert the iKlips into my Mac or PC all my files suddenly become available. This device can not be recommended until this issue is fixed. UPDATE: just loaded the latest software for both iKlips and iPad. Sadly the new iKlips software still fails to read the iKlips drive. When the iKlips is inserted into my iPad, I get an indication that iKlips has no content stored on it. Of course, the iKlips thumb is actually 40 percent full, none of which is accessible on my iPad. Ill just have to bit the bullet on this purchase and look for another solution. UPDATE 2: After an exchange of emails with the people at iKlips, they sent me the URL that allow you to update the iKlips flash drive. After saving content to another drive I ran the update software, reinstalled my content and bingo - everything now works as advertised. If your having trouble seeing iKlips content with the new software try this fix. As a result, Ive adjusted my rating.

Cannot see my videos or documents. No response at all from developer. Very poor.

the USB and lightning port work just fine but there are no instructions on how to move music?? the whole app design and functions are confusing and too hard to use, they definitely need a change.

This app is TOTALLY USELESS!!!!! It accomplishes absolutely nothing that AdamElement marketing liars claim to its customers and future customers!!! Nothing works! Nothing works!! Nothing works!!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WORKS!!!!! And, dont even attempt to request any form of support - no Manual, no support site, not even a FAQ listing (nothing is contained in their false listing of FAQs!!!! Unless they hire a top-notch head of software engineering immediately, along with a Quality Assurance VP with authority to make him honest, they will lose their customers!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

App keeps crashing will not allow viewing, moving, or uploading of files. Total CRAP!!!!!! Dont waste your money if you use an ipad Air. Ipad Air, ikclip 64 GB. App is latest version as of June 22, 2016. Before update it worked!!

I agree with the other reviewer. This worked great before the last update to the app. Now it crashes everytime making my iKlips memory device completly usless on iOS devices. Still works on my PC, but whats the point of that. I bought it to use with my iPad

This is a good app, but the only problem Ive had is I cant upload any songs from my iOS device to the iKlips 1.0 flashdrive. Id greatly appreciate it if that was fixed. Other than that, the app is great with great design!

The app update has destroyed much of the iKips device functionality. I purchased two 64gb versions in 2015 and was very satisfied with the device and the companion iOS app. It worked for backing up photos and video from my iPhone and iPad on the fly which is why I got it. Recently after updating the iOs app, I discovered the the “improved” UI was not only less user friendly, but when trying to back up any files, I received the message: “Caution Please connect your iKlips” despite the fact that it WAS connected. After trying everything from reconnecting the drive to my phone to deleting and reinstalling the app, this was still the case. By selecting “All Files", it allows you to copy a file to the App Storage within the app which for me and I suspect many others, is completely useless since the idea is to back up the data to an external device, allowing one to free up space on the phone. Additionally, the only online tutorial Adam Elements has shows the app UI prior to this awful update. Finally, I emailed Adam Elements outlining the issues and to date hevent received a response. Avoid this like the plague. There are now a number of other companies producing iOS flash drives and hopefully at least one makes an app that works.

Its not working at iPhone 6s. Still waiting the app upgrade. Im not using unfortunately. Need to fix immediately.

It is a good app and the sync works fine. Would love to have a landscape mode for pics and movies. More over a select all items function would be fine. But it is a nice app!

I used different solutions before, but this one is the best. Fast, universe and reliable. Highly recommended, App grows stronger too, they always add a few new functions.

4 stars for the good quality of the stick and the using. I bought this stick few days ago. I am happy with it and works great! I am a bit disappointed about the app. If you give so much money for it, you want some more comfort. If you wanna transfer more pics from the stick to your iphone, you can only select each single one for transferring, thats annoying and dues too long if you wanna import more than 50 pics! Please do an update for it!
